And all the while it seemed as if someone were following me and there, I caught a glimpse of a shadowy girl who I just couldn't seem to shake off.
Wood Anemone "Windflower" or Anemone Nemerosa
Greek legend says that "Anemos", the wind, sends his namesake the anemones in the earliest sping to herald his coming.
I say this is all very well but who's that girl?
xXx
This walk with you through nature was beyond beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteThank you my dear,

Glorious shots. I especially like shot two. Whoever the girl is, she is very tall - must be a fairy who eats her greens!
ReplyDeletewhat lovely photos! I walked amongst wood anemones myself on Sunday, amogst other things!
ReplyDeleteLoving your flowery posts!
ReplyDeleteEvery year we pinch (with permission!) some anemones from the swathes in my inlaws woody garden, and hope to have increasing patches as the years go by. They are such a lovely sight under trees.
