Streams full of stars

This hydrangea is for Lucy.
Thank you Lucy for giving me an award, how lovely of you!
This hydrangea is for Kelly.
Thank you Kelly for giving me an award, I really appreciate it!

Please do visit these two ladies at Vanilla Ivy and Kellys Recipes for Life.

Now I'm not too good at always following the rules!
One is to pass these awards on to a specified number of recipients but I cant possibly choose between you so I award all of my 65 Followers! I think you deserve to be rewarded just for reading this!

I am also supposed to let you in on 7 things you dont know about me,
hmmmm, head scratching.................

Well you cant possibly know what I'm thinking.

When I was out early this Morning with Mr.Boodle my heart was bursting with the joy of being up early and wandering through leaf drenched dewy woods where the Autumn colours glowed. I thought "how beautiful" and I was glad to be alive and I remembered this........

LEISURE
W.H. Davies

What is this life if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare?

No time to stand beneath the boughs
And stare as long as sheep or cows,

No time to see, when woods we pass,
Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass.

No time to see, in broad daylight,
Streams full of stars, like stars at night,

No time to turn at beauty's glance
And watch her feet, how they can dance.

No time to wait till her mouth can
Enrich that smile her eyes began.

A poor life this, if full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.

I think that covers it x

  6. I'm a new follower of your blog, and I really enjoyed your latest post! I especially love all your photos. (love your banner too!) I love the fall so much, and living in Las Vegas doesn't provide much "color" so I try to create the feeling with potted plants of color and dreaming of living somewhere else. Also, I have a question, do you grow hydrangeas? I always see them on your blog. I absolutely love the blue ones! Unfortunately, they don't grow where I live. You might like my banner should you decide to visit. Thank you & congratulations on you award!

  17. Hello again!

I've never had my eyebrows threaded, I choose waxing but I think it's all down to personal choice! I don't find waxing painful, I'm so used to it now!

  18. I loved reading that poem again and ironically taking my time over reading it. When I studied it it was more about dissecting than fully appreciating.

Good for you on the awards.

  22. wow, lovely post...I find myself having the same thoughts lately...I just want to slow down and stare, really take a good look around me...and I've never been happier.

The felted acorn garland on my last post was pretty simple, if a little time consuming. First of all, you have to "stop and stare" and find some acorn caps...drill two little holes in the top of each one...thread embroidery floss through the caps , space them out somewhat evenly and then glue little felted balls onto each cap

this is a link to a you tube video on how to make the felted balls

  23. Hello darling, I will start this comment by telling you how much I have missed you these past few weeks. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kind words and prayers. I am one lucky girl to have you as a friend; you truly are the gem in my teacup. Have to tell you that my Pa loved your blog's name and kept repeating it with a tune all day... Sarah-Jane down the Lane, lane lane lane, Sarah-Jane. He repeated your name a thousand times. Darling thanks for making him happy, he sends you his love. I am slowly easing my way back into blogging and can’t wait to stroll around your blog to see what I have missed.
