By the pricking of my thumbs, something wicked this way comes......................

Trick or Treat?
I love Margaret Tempest illustrations, this is "the witch's house"

Scary!

This was the Witch's garden at Hampton Court Flower Show

And this is absoloutely The Scariest Witch of all time!

I went with the Magpie to see Snow White when I was very small and this image kept me awake at night for a long time afterwards.

Enough of all that frightening stuff!

Do you fancy a treat?

If you would like a toffee apple festival head over to Bluebird Notes where Koralee has prepared some yummy gooey toffee apples and some other sparkly sweet treats.

Or call in at the Vintage Magpie and see Nicky's latest beautiful creation, Rufus

What about a sparkly Christmas teaser? Head over to Sweden and meet Malin at her beautiful
White Christmas blog just in time for her giveaway, entry ends today!

Or you can help Wendy at Ticking Stripes celebrate her 50th follower with a giveaway too!

"Like elves and fairies in a ring,
Enchanting all that you put in "

Happy Halloween x

  8. Hiya Sarah-Jane

Snap we live down a dark bumpy lane too - tonight the spookiness was added to by mist & fog.

Only had 3 trick or treaters - all pre-arranged.

  12. I just have to say, the witches house is the scariest picture of the lot, and it has reminded me of my childhood so much, in a good way.

  14. Oh yes... The witch in Snow White is by far the scariest! I am not a big fan of scary stuff. I only enjoy the pumpkin side of Halloween ...not the rest...:-))

  16. Hello there!

Have just discovered you (followed a link from somewhere... Cowboys & Custard?.. not sure.. been mooching about in blogland for a couple of hours!) and wanted to say hello as I love the style of your blog and your lovely / scary pictures. That snow white picture... ugh!!!

Childern's illustrations are always so appealing to me. Spent years as a children's bookseller actually and always loved the picture book area the most.

    Nice to meet you anyway,
