Being enthusiastically greeted by a smiling labrador.
Like the prodigal returning, like a hero, tail waving furiously with unabated joy...when in fact, you have only been separated for an hour...
Happiness indeed

Ramblings of a country girl and tales from the Garden of England!
Awwww.... Lovely....
ReplyDeleteThat picture exudes happiness!! How completely joyful!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely photo. We have a King Charles Cavalier, as our welcoming commitee! called Maddy, who always greets us with wild enthusiasm, no matter if we've been gone minutes or hours.

Hi Sarah-Jane,
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing like the welcome the dogs give us when we return home.
Quite bonkers!!
Hope you have a lovely weekend,
Liz x
That's right if you want unconditional love: get a dog.
ReplyDeleteAnd we agree on this: make it a lab!

Such a great photo, it made me smile. Where would we be without the love of a dog!

ReplyDeleteWe have a daft Spaniel, but I am still in love with the labrador that was the original on Downton, every time the theme comes on and I see him tootling along it makes me smile.

ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVE that photo! It was so lovely to meet you last week! I truly enjoyed chatting with you! Can't wait to continue following your blog! x
ReplyDeleteHa ha - what a brilliant photo! This reminds me of Byron, our Jack Russell terrier, who literally springs and bounces about joyously like Zebedee from the Magic Roundabout to welcome the children home from school each day. As you say, one would think that they had been separated for weeks on end!

There is a whippet version of this! It involves wearing said whippet as a hat, or maybe a scarf. I have five whippets. And I only have to be gone for five minutes. Labradors looks so much less dangerous ;)
ReplyDeleteHe's a beautiful dog that Boodle :)
Lovely picture Sarah, :-) isn't it just great how they welcome us home.
ReplyDeleteAnnie
Nothing better than a greeting like that!!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!!
