A very good man
I am blessed as my husband is a very, very “good man” indeed.
He always behaves honestly and honourably and I marvel at the admiration I still feel for him after these eleven years of marriage.
His Father was also a very good man and we have had good reason to reflect on this of late.
Our lives are full of uncertainty , we have been on a rollercoaster ride full of hope and disappointment and now for a moment, hope again. Through all of this my boy has been stoic and wise and good humoured and true and I? A rudderless ship bounced around on the tides of fortune have been elated and battered by equal measure and still he steadies me and guides me home to safety.
Thank you my love.
The moment when, after many years
Of hard work and a long voyage
You stand in the centre of your room,
house, half acre, square mile, island, country,
knowing at last how you got there, and say “I own this”
