Hi Sarah now just look at those divine flowers.I adore these sort of modern old fashioned edgy sort of bunches, yes you are so right this is a fabulous time of the year, don't you just love it. xxxx Hugs Lynn xxx
Thank you Sarah. I absolutely love roses but would never have thought to give them as a present at this time of year. I love the arrangements with the candles, they look so festive. Susie
They are gorgeous, I love the dusky pink ones at the top. I have a few lone rose blooms still in the garden that I am tempted to cut and bring inside. Ann x
Gorgeous blooms. I have a friend who has a florists. She says that people take pictures in at this time of year that they have cut out of mags for her to replicate. She says that they nearly have heart failure when she tells them how much roses cost at this time of year!! I always mix herbs in with my flowers because I have loads in the garden. xxx
Thanks for your comment the other day. I agree totally that the best simple pleasure is just being. Really looking at things around us and enjoying everything for what it is. Now don't go doing anything silly with that broom! Lisa x
Oh wow, those arrangements are absolutely beautiful - the colours of the roses and the herbs belnd perfectly don't they? I had never really thought of roses at Christmas but I suppose their colours, especially the deeper reds, and their velvetiness are just right x
The Roses are lovely. I just found you blog today and signed up. It's a cold snowy day here in Luray Virginia USA so I read all you older post. You are a very good writer. Yours truly Elaine
My darling Sarah what a lovely post. The roses are simply divine. I too love herbs tucked into floral bouquets, the smell...oh I love the smell of herbs and flowers mixed. Darling, your blog is lovely as always.
Oh good, you found me!
It is such a little Lane and hard to find! This is where I carve my name in the bark.
Stepping down the Lane you will find tales from the Sussex High Weald and other everyday ramblings!
I simply like to notice things, you know just to be curious that's what I do!
