My own favourite passage, which my sisters and I would chant again and again, was the bit about "Being alive is the magic, being strong is the magic. It is in me; it is in me; it is in every one of us. It is in Ben Weatherstaff's back. Magic, magic - come and help us!" and on and on much more... Funny how books get under your skin.
